What to expect – Voice and Sound (plus)

A 90 minute session in two parts, led by voice practitioner Laetitia Dehauteur and Emma.

Gentle nature sounds play softly in the background as you settle in. Emma will talk you through how the session will unfold before handing over to Laetitia.

Laetitia opens with a few minutes of gentle stretching to loosen the body and bring awareness to both sides. She then guides you through a vocal journey — eyes closed throughout, gently supported at every step — helping you connect with something felt within and find a way to express it through sound. There is no need to sing and no performance involved. The invitation is simply to notice what’s present and let it find a voice.

When Laetitia’s session draws to a close, you’ll lie back and the sound bath begins. Having expressed something of your own, you now simply receive. The sound bath is played entirely live, with Himalayan and crystal singing bowls at its heart alongside a considered selection of instruments. There is nothing recorded, nothing repeated. Each session is unique — no two sound baths are ever the same even with the same instruments.

Most people find themselves deeply relaxed. Some fall asleep, which is completely welcome, though very loud snoring may earn a gentle tap on the shoulder and an invitation to turn over. Others may notice colours, images or feelings arising — all of this is completely normal and part of the experience.

At the close of the sound, ten minutes of silence follows. A space for everything to settle and integrate before we gently return.

You’re warmly welcome to share anything about your experience afterwards, or simply gather yourself quietly and head home.

Please aim to arrive a few minutes before the session begins to give yourself time to settle in comfortably. Once the session has started the studio door is closed — if you’ve left a contact number and are running just a few minutes late please do call ahead and we’ll do our best to help.

Please note that sound baths are not advised for:
